The coaching staff of Vasco is working to provide Pablo Vegetti with the conditions to face Fluminense on Wednesday at Maracanã Stadium for the eighth round of the Guanabara Cup. The Argentinian forward has made progress in recovering from a rib fracture and has a good chance of taking the field. In order for the center forward to be able to play, the rival medical department is preparing a kind of immobilization in the area to protect it from blows, according to O Globo newspaper.
As a center forward, Vegetti often engages in aerial duels with defenders, which poses a risk to his ribs. The injury occurred during Vasco’s preseason in Uruguay.
Vegetti is no longer experiencing any pain in the area and is training with his teammates. Therefore, it is very likely that he will be ready to face Fluminense.
