In an interview, midfielder Martinelli commented on the move of his friend Luiz Henrique, with whom he partnered in the Fluminense youth academy in Xerém, to their rival. The forward has been acquired by John Textor and will play for Botafogo.
— I didn’t get to talk to him (Luiz Henrique). I saw that Fluminense was in the race and I was cheering for it to work out. He is a great friend of mine. I wish him the best of luck, but not against us (laughs) — said the player.
Sold by Real Betis (ESP) to the group of businessman John Textor, Luiz Henrique’s transfer will bring a good amount of money to Fluminense. The club holds 15% of the player’s rights.
