Lelê, the forward, was one of Fluminense’s reinforcements for the previous season, following an impressive performance in the Carioca Championship with Volta Redonda. In his debut with the Tricolor, against América-MG in the first round of the Brazilian Championship, he stood out. In an interview with GE, Lelê was asked if this game is one of his fondest memories since joining the team.
– Definitely. It was a tough game. I came off the bench when it was still 0-0. I was able to get involved in the game, score a goal, provide an assist, and set up John Kennedy to win a penalty. It was a great game and a great memory for me – said the player.
Despite the promising start, Lelê struggled to find his form and didn’t have much playing time under Fernando Diniz. Nevertheless, Fluminense exercised their option to buy the player, and this year he is participating in the preseason with the ‘Warrior Team’ from the beginning, which he considers an advantage.
