Fluminense to Introduce New Criteria for Sócio Futebol Program in 2024

11 janeiro 15:7 Fluminense to Introduce New Criteria for Sócio Futebol Program in 2024

Fluminense is set to make changes to its Sócio Futebol program for the upcoming 2024 season. With 66,126 members as of last night, the club currently offers eight plans, five of which grant priority 1 in ticket acquisition. However, it is expected that this will no longer be the case, according to a report by the website ge.

According to the portal, the club is considering implementing at least three criteria for prioritizing ticket purchases in 2024. These criteria include loyalty, attendance, and investment value. Therefore, the following factors will be taken into account: length of membership, frequency of attendance at games, and higher-priced plans.

In 2023, the year of their Libertadores title, Fluminense consistently broke records for the number of members present at games. However, controversy arose during the final, a single match against Boca Juniors (ARG) at Maracanã stadium. Due to five of the eight plans granting priority 1 in ticket purchases, there were more members than available seats in the South Stand, which was designated for Fluminense supporters. The match was considered to be played on neutral ground. As a result, the available seats were divided among mixed sections (East and West), with the North Stand reserved for Argentine fans.

The consequence was clear. Numerous members were unable to secure tickets for the momentous match that marked Fluminense’s historic Libertadores title victory.
