Fluminense player scores first goal as a professional, dedicated to his late father

22 janeiro 14:7 Fluminense player scores first goal as a professional, dedicated to his late father

Isaac, a 19-year-old player from Fluminense, scored his first goal as a professional in the team’s 2-1 victory over Portuguesa. This achievement was particularly meaningful for Isaac, as he lost his father, Genivaldo, to cancer in 2022. The goal was a tribute to his late father and a realization of his dream on behalf of him.

In an emotional interview after the match, Isaac shared his thoughts, saying, ‘I lost my father last year, and I remembered him. My father’s dream was to become a professional player, but he couldn’t fulfill it. I realized this dream for him, and this goal was for him.’

Fluminense will resume their participation in the Campeonato Carioca with a match against Audax on Thursday at 21:30 at the Elcyr Resende stadium.
